5 Reasons We Love Tulsi Pomegranate Green Tea

One of our favourite ORGANIC INDIA blends, the vibrant Tulsi Pomegranate Green Tea is full of bright bursts of pomegranate and raspberry, an energetic boost of green tea, the sweetness of hibiscus and the gentle earthy spice of Tulsi. It tastes great, but is also sooo very good for you.

These are just five of the reasons we love it!

Packed full of rich antioxidants – protection against disease

Tulsi, Green Tea, Pomegranate and Hibiscus are all super rich in antioxidants. Antioxidants slow down the process of excess oxidation and protect cells from the damage caused by free radicals. When cells are attacked by free radicals, excess oxidation occurs which damage and destroy cells, which can be responsible for causing and/or accelerating many diseases. Antioxidants stop this process, providing protection against disease processes!

It’s delicious served cool in Summer

The blend is beautifully balanced, the warming properties of Tulsi and Green Tea with the cooling properties of Pomegranate and Hibiscus. The clean, refreshing nature of this blend lends itself perfectly to serving cool in a glass jug over the hot Summer months. Try adding a few fresh Pomegranate seeds or mint leaves to top it off!

Gives a nice gentle lift that clears and focuses the mind without the aggravating effects of coffee.

The organic green tea in this blend provides a perfect energetic lift with far less caffeine than coffee. While coffee is inflammatory and agitating, green tea is anti-inflammatory and supportive of heart health. Together with Tulsi, the green tea promotes a wonderfully clear, focused mind. Clarity in a cup!

Good for liver and heart

This combination of herbs is naturally anti-inflammatory, wonderfully supportive of cardiovascular health and nourishing for the liver and kidneys. Tulsi is especially effective in supporting the heart, blood vessels, liver and lungs and also regulates blood pressure and blood sugar. In a recent article, Ayurvedic Practitioner Dr John Douillard cites studies showing the impressive benefits of Pomegranates on the health of arterial walls and in stress-induced angina (1).

Promotes balance

Pomegranate is known for maintaining the balance of the three doshas (vata, pitta, kapha) thus having a lovely balancing effect on our overall constitution.  The adaptogenic properties of Tulsi are known to assist us in developing a healthy response to stress, and to assist our return to homeostasis from wherever we find ourselves each day. When we are in balance, we feel true health.

This Summer I am going to be keeping a cool jug of this lovely refreshing drink on hand at all times!
